The Iranian Houthi militia buried the body of ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sanaa at night without a ceremony, Yemeni media reported today (Wednesday, December 6, 2017).
Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni newspaper affirmed that the Houthi militias buried the body of the former president in the cemetery of martyrs in the capital Sanaa, in presence of a number of his not directly relatives and from his village people.
One of the attendees said that the burial was carried out in a very discreet manner, they prevented the attendees from carrying their mobile phones, and only a limited number of members of his area and distant relatives attended the burial.
An activist from the General People’s Congress party confirmed that the body of Saleh was buried using a lamp, in the presence of five members of his family.
Earlier, Press reports stated that the family of Ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh said that the Iranian militia refuses to hand over his body with bodies of the leaders of Yemen’s General People’s Congress that were executed.
