King Salman to empower the private sector and end the corruption

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman said that he directed ministers and officials to provide high quality services to citizens. He also stressed efforts to combat corruption and citizens’ participation in development, pointing out the formation of the anti-corruption committee.

“We determined facing corruption with fair and firm”, King Salman said. “We seek to develop the present, build the future and move forward with modernization.”
King Salman said that the kingdom plays an influential role in regional and international organizations, reiterating its deep regret at the US decision on Jerusalem. Adding that Saudi Arabia is working to face the interference in the internal affairs of the Gulf States.

King Salman opened on Wednesday the work of the second year of the seventh session of the Shura Council at the headquarters of the Council in Riyadh.

King Salman said that the Kingdom’s 2030 vision aims to prepare the Kingdom and to achieve the objectives of the vision we have taken a number of decisions to combat corruption and the participation of citizens in the development. In addition, we appreciate the role of the private sector and commend its role in development and the resettlement of technology and employment.

He added that we will enable the private sector to achieve development, facilitate procedures and quality of services for citizens and expand programs that are of interest to citizens, most importantly housing.

King Salman stressed that corruption is a serious scourge that prevents development and our determination to confront it resolutely, so we formed a special committee to deal with this issue.
